Bullying, harassment and intimidation have no place in the Chittenango Central School District. Whether it occurs in the hallway, school bus or online, such behavior can create hostile learning environments that interfere with students’ academic performance, and emotional/physical well-being. Harassment is motivated by real or perceived characteristics, such as race/ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, or socioeconomic status. Bullying behavior is threatening or intimidating behavior toward another and occurs repeatedly over time with the intent to cause harm.  The goal of the Dignity Act, and the Chittenango Central School District, is to create a safe and supportive school climate where students can learn free of discrimination, harassment or intimidation.  All Chittenango children have the right to attend school in a safe and caring environment.  The Chittenango Central School District is committed to this and much more.
