Chittenango Central Schools provides programs and services for students with special needs to assist
them in learning to the maximum of their potential ability.
| Students suspected of having an educationally related disability are referred to the Committee on Special Education. This committee is responsible for the identification, evaluation and program planning for students with special needs.
Preschool children with disabilities are provided programs and services under the direction of the Committee on Preschool Special Education. Additional information regarding either the Committee on Special Education or the Committee on Preschool Special Education can be obtained by contacting the Special Education office. New York State Education Department publications Parents' Guide for Students with Disabilities and Rights for Parents of Children with Disabilities are also helpful documents. |
