AIR & WASTE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

December 22, 2025
 
 
We are pleased to announce the availability of scholarships for students in the Central New York region sponsored by the CNY Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA).  Graduating high school seniors and current college students may be eligible for scholarship grants of up to $1,500.
 
Eligibility Criteria:
 
•       High School graduates entering college in 2026 or current college students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate level programs.
•       Applicants must be enrolled in an environmentally related degree program.
•       Applicants do not have to be AWMA members or a relative of a member.
•       Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit-hours or more) for the Fall 2026 semester.
•       Applicants must be residents of or going to college in the Central New York region.

SOUTH SHORE ASSN OF ONEIDA LAKE, INC.

The South Shore Association is please to make available this award to graduating High School seniors enter the following fields of study:

Environmental Engineering.          Geology
Environmental Science                  Forestry
Marine Biology                               Water Resources
Wildlife Management


Other environmental fields of study will be considered provided they support the conservation mission and goals of the South Shore Association and its
membership.

Any applicant must be registered as a full time student carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester; preferably at a college located in New York 
State. Applicants may pursue either an Associates or Bachelor's degree in their chosen field of study. Awards will be made each semester after the
recipient provides documentation of continued studies. Awards will be in amounts of up to $1500.00 per year for either two (2) or four (4) year programs 
depending on the degree pursued. No award will exceed this amount regardless of the circumstances. However, a two (2) year award may be extended
to a four (4) year award should the recipient receive an Associate's Degree with a good academic record followed by the pursuit of an acceptable field
of study in a Bachelor's Degree program.  PLEASE NOTE: Applications are due by APRIL 15, 2026. If awarded, the applicant must fill out a renewal 
request form and provide a transcript each semester.
