The Chittenango Central School District firmly believes that the school is the central point of the community and supports the use of its facilities by community members and  community groups. As such, we have moved to an on-line facility use form for your convenience.
 
Anyone interested in using a school’s facilities during non-instructional time must complete an on-line application at least two weeks prior to the date requested. Approval of use is subject to the terms and conditions, insurance requirements and fees where applicable. Effective July 1, 2016, the district will no longer use paper forms for facility use requests.
 

 

Classification of Groups for Rental Purposes

Category 1
The group or organization that has been approved by the Superintendent as an “approved school group.” A minimum rental fee may be required. Category 1 groups will be charged a custodial fee if a custodian is required outside of normal working hours. The custodial rate shall be $45.00 per hour. List of approved users  under Category 1 include:

• All student athletic and activity groups (organizations that fall under the District’s insurance coverage).
• School staff working exclusively with CCS students (i.e. after school programs, tutoring).
• School District union representatives.
• Any organization requested by the District to provide/present programs.

 
Category 2
The group or organization that has been approved by the Superintendent as an “approved school-related group” or as a non-profit group (i.e. does not collect a fee for private gain or paid a wage or stipend). A minimum rental fee may be required. Category 2 groups will be charged a custodial fee if a custodian is required outside of normal working hours. The custodial rate will be $45.00 per hour. List of approved users under Category 2 include:

• Chittenango Central School booster clubs.
• Law Enforcement
• Town/Village meetings
• Historical societies
• Senior citizen groups
• Environmental and conservation groups
• Chittenango based youth sport groups (must be Chittenango residents).
• Civic groups (Rotary, Lions, and Kiwanis).
• Chittenango Parent-Teacher organizations.

 
Category 3
Private parties, commercial, business and profit making organizations. A rental fee and payment of personnel fees will be required when any group or organization requests the use of any facility for private gain or where admission fees are charged. All Category 3 Rental Requests shall be charged a minimum of 3 hours plus an additional ½ hour before and ½ after the event for custodial services. The custodial rate will be $45.00 per hour for each custodian.
