Recognition for Showing Good Character 

at Bridgeport Elementary

  Here at Bridgeport Elementary, we have a wonderful program in place that motivates and recognizes students whom have shown good character.  It is called “The Principal’s Chair Challenge.” Each week, teachers and staff nominate students they have seen demonstrate the character trait for that month.  During the announcements on Friday morning, a drum roll is sounded and a student’s name is selected to receive and use Mrs. Farber’s chair for the day. As the principal’s chair is wheeled to the winning student’s classroom to be exchanged for the student’s chair, students and staff line the hallway to congratulate the winner.  What an honor it is to feel like the principal for the day!
